Venue and Accomodation

Getting to Eugene: Eugene is located in the Willamette Valley, about 150 miles south of Portland. The city is served by the Eugene Airport (EUG), which is a major hub for regional airlines. There are also several Amtrak trains and Greyhound buses that stop in Eugene each day.

The conference will take place at the University of Oregon, in Willamette Hall, room 100. The room is a large, well-lit classroom with seating for up to 218 people. There is a projector and screen, as well as a whiteboard. The room is wheelchair accessible.

The buffet dinner will take place in the Willamette Atrium, which is located on the ground floor of Willamette Hall. The atrium is a large, open space with seating for up to 400 people.

Parking is available on campus.  A good option is

Millrace Drive Garage 1625 Millrace Drive  located next to the Knight Campus and a six minute walk from Willamette Hall.   $5.00/day Payment on entry, credit card only.

  • Hayward Inn – 0.1 miles away. This hotel has a pool, hot tub, and free breakfast. It is located across the street from the university.
  • University Inn & Suites – 0.2 miles away. This hotel has an indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness center. It is located within walking distance of the university and many restaurants and shops.
  • Best Western New Oregon – 0.1 miles away. This hotel has an indoor pool, hot tub, and free breakfast. It is located within walking distance of the university and the Lane County Fairgrounds.
  • Home2Suites by Hilton Eugene – 0.9 miles away

  • The Maverick Hotel – 0.2 miles away. This hotel has a rooftop bar with views of the university and the city. It is located within walking distance of the university and many restaurants and shops.
