Industry Partners

We work with industry partners in Oregon, across the US, and internationally. An industry partner flyer is here.

We are also able to provide on-site education courses/seminars in electrochemistry and electrochemical technology at industry partner sites. Please contact us for more information.

Graduates students perform paid internships, typically for 9 months though other arrangements can be made, at our partner sites as part of the electrochemistry masters internship program, often leading to permanent employment. Interns areĀ  bound by any confidentiality agreements with the host employer and all intellectual property developed is owned by the employer. In fact, the master’s interns are not allowed to share confidential information with program staff or faculty at the University of Oregon. All compensation is negotiated between the student and industry partner.

Industry and national laboratory partners also provide project topics for our educational efforts, guidance on curricula, sponsor and collaborate on research, and are potential employers for our graduates.

There is no fee to be an industry affiliate. We ask only that industry affiliates consider our students/graduates for internships and as employees, as well as give us feedback on how we can improve our program and make it maximally relevant.

We also work with industry (and other) partners to sponsor named student scholarships and new laboratory equipment and capabilities. We are actively recruiting sponsors to support outfitting and updating electrochemistry center laboratory space. Please contact Prof. Kempler if you or your company is interested in being a sponsor.
